looking for info from bmx gurus on here as title says  really i see some of the new re edition pk rippershave the looptails and some of the later 80's ones don't, what differences do the different dateline models have

Looptails are the thing of the past unless your going for the retro model. better geometry, longer toptube, the 80's PK's had 1" headsets with caliper brake mounting where as the latest models have 1 1/8" headsets and canti-lugs :daumenhoch:

Goes a little something like this....

loopy 78 to 84.



Straight chain stay, intergrated seat clamp, 84-6




Then the same bike for a while but with the more common tapered chainstays lasted till 91ish.



 when it changed to the pitbull brake version with the inch headset



  later varients had the inch and an eighth headset, till the Asian made ones that had the serial number on the bottom bracket

Then there were quite a few different Asian PK's that looked nothing like the American ones which i think started in 2003. Have a look in the site museum for them  :daumenhoch:
